im assuming the 5.4 since its a fx4, go with the motorcraft plugs some trucks are very particular and wont run worth a crap with anything else, on the coils i would assume the same but im not sure....

Yes sorry it is a 5.4. I was just looking on summit and seen the accels, msd and what not and was wondering if it was worth upgrading to one of them.

Thanks.

I'd stay with the Motorcraft plugs as the 5.4 seems to like those better. Here's a vid you might want to look at. Click on episode 26 for changing the plugs in a 5.4.

Unless you are having issues with the COPS, I'd leave them alone. The MSD and the Accels have not been lasting long and frankly don't work as good as OEM. If you have COPS going bad I'd suggest the COPS from Uneek and Global as found on Ebay. They have a lifetime warranty and quite a following of Ford techs that don't feel like their customers eyes being poked out is required when replacing the COPS. You can buy a full set of 8 for about the same price as one from Ford that has a 90 day warranty. Just be careful and look at the connectors when ordering.
