Gear swap question
#14
Went to the dealership to get a quote on swapping gears so it will be covered under warranty. They're giving me decent prices (surprisingly) but they said they can only get 4.11's for the rear and 4.10's for the front (OEM). They said it shouldn't cause any problems because you shouldn't engage 4x4 unless on slippery surface anyway, what do y'all think?

I wish I ordered the tru trac instead. But the posi chirps the tires with very little effort. I have 2,000 miles on them now changed the fluid out and all looks good. Four wheel parts did a nice job and all for 1,945 including 3 year 36,000 extreme plus warranty and the posi in the rear.

OK, the dealership gave me a quote $300 more than local 4x4 shop, do you think it is worth that to let the dealership do it with factory parts and warranty? Who's to say the dealership would even do a better job. I'd be willing to bet the 4x4 shop has done way more gear swaps than the dealership but I don't know what I should do.
