4.10's unless you wanna go a 4.56's a tad steep but you will lose some mpg, but great for towing

4.10 is a good gear for 33's. Before you swap in the 4.10 gears, think ahead. If you plan on going to a bigger size in the future, like 35's, you might as well go to 4.56.

why? should be a 31 spline, according to my books 97+ f150 8.8's came with 31 spline, 96 and older has 30

if you are buying gears, shop around alot, some people are insance, i found sets for 600 front and rear with install kits. if a shop is doing the work, call and ask first what they all will need, some shops are funny about stuff and want only to use their parts.

rons maching service on ebay has good prices on stuff, if you call you can get them a tad cheaper.
