Default Gas tank issue

I'm currently driving my grandpa's 04 4.6. I went to fill it up with gas, and it would only take a couple bucks worth before clicking off (even though tank was empty) ended up taking like 20 min to get it filled

Slide the fuel pump nozzle out just a little little bit. I have the same issue with my 5.4 fuel tank.

Tried that. Nozzle was barely even in the hole.

Then I would try a different pump.

I've tried it at several different stations. Same result. I can hear the vapor leaving the tank while fueling

Are you running the pump full on or just part way?

I've tried both. It works a little better with pump barely on

I have the same issue. It really sucks when it's -20 outside. It seems like the colder it is the worst it gets. It fills about $5 then shuts off. I can't squeeze it all the way or it shuts off almost instantly. Even backing the nozzle out a little or all the way in doesn't make a difference.
