Default Gas MPG on 2006 FX4

OK all I am new to this forum and need some help. I just bought a used 2006 F150 Super Crew and checking he mileage yesterday I only got 11mpg. That is mixed driving but only work less than 10 miles from work. It is all stock and what to know what I can do to get better gas MPG. I was thinking exhaust, Cold air intake and programmer. Will this achive me getting better MPG?

I have an 05 Lariat with the 5.4 which is what im assuming you have. I got 12.5 my first tank then i changed the oil and cleaned out the air filter. That got me another mile and a half per gallon.
Great lookin truck though. Welcome

Use the search tool. Fuel mileage, and every performance mod your asking about has many entries. You will be able to read for days!!!

Check your air filter, and oil. Also, you said you're less than 10 miles from work, but you could still try to beef up the PSI in your tires. I run mine at 45....did it at 50 for a while but noticed a lot of pre-mature wear so i aired down a little.

CAI, Exhaust, and Tuner will help, but you're looking at an extra 2 mpg at best i would think (personal experience)

Hope that helps

Exhaust and intake should give you a little more mileage, but if you get a programmer for mileage get a superchips Mileage XS, Hypertech E-con, or the E3 one from bully dog. I've got the superchips flashpaq and even on the 87 octane tune have not seen any gains, my mileage actually went down about 1-1.5mpg.

Your right man those things do help, not so much around town but highway/interstate driving they help a ton, wish I had one when I'm making long hauls.
