Default FYI for those thinking about Eagle 197 rims!

The 17x9s look different then the 18x9. If you are thinking about buying these rims, I would look at these pics to make sure you want them. I wanted the look of the 18s but my 17s are different. The 18s spokes are more vertical, where as the 17s have a bigger curve and come closer to the lip of the rim. I must say I was choked when I recieved them today

You still putting them on Bro? They still look nice. And I see some Nitto's in the background. Is the backspacing different on the 17s and 18s?

ya im still gonna put them on. Its not worth shipping them back to Ohio, and the rims are growing on me. I really wanted the look the 18s have though. The nittos are 305/70 r17. They say 34 x 12.5 on them but they measure a little less than that. I think i will be in love once they are on the truck.

Ya backspacing is 4.5" for both the 17 and 18s. Both 9" wide rims. I dont get why they change the pattern a little bit but its probably some engineering/cost effective reason

i think its the backspacing, confirm that they are what you ordered, or if there are even different options.

The backspacing is always 4.5" for 197 rims... no other options. I checked mine right away to make sure I didnt get some knock off brand. It doesnt get much cheaper than eagles tho

I bought them off ebay... Direct line wheels or something. The shipping was quick. I wish I had of known that they looked different adn i would have got 18s. but I already had my nittos in 17 so this is what I get. Owell! I'll post some pics once they are mounted on the truck

I'd be kind of choked is that happened to me too.
Did you try contacting the seller? send him the pics you posted above and maybe he'll let you do an exchange for the 18's (you pay the difference, of course)

I bet if you stood the wheel up and positioned it like the other and tool a picture from the same angle, it would be the same.
