FX4 skid plates on xl?

Default FX4 skid plates on xl?

Would fx4 skid plates be able to go onto an xl?

Im sure it would fit but im not sure if the holes for it would be there...thats just a guess thou.

I would assume that the skid plates are the same across the F150 frames. I have them on my XLT from the factory

If the holes arent there, first make a pilot hole, roughly the size of the shaft on a self tapping screw (good size screw). Then run your self tappers and you should be good. I did this to make a ground for my fogs (i know, its just a ground tap and you are needing to secure, but it should still work, i think).

do the skid plates make it harder to do routine maintenance like oil changes?

skid plates are standard on fx4, for all models its an option, 2004 - 2008. what yr is yours?

Dude just do what we did to my friends F-150.We made our own skit plate out a half inch thick steel plate at my work on the apalio queen laser machine,bolts,washers,and nuts,drill your own pilot holes and get to work.Wasn't my idea was my friends and hey wasn't my truck,lol.But its nice having his plate on when he off roads it.If you want to do work on the bottom,just take the bolts,washers and nuts off and remove the plate and your good.Now yes thats called a hillbilly armor,but it works

X 2 they are on my 04 xlt. I ordered it with the offroad package. I'd bet the holes are there.
They are also on my 02 FX4.
