Here is a picture of the heater-I unplugged the wire harness that is in my hand facing the camera. The picture is shown with the PCV hose unhooked too but I don't think that is necessary. As mentioned before it is on the driver side of the upper intake near the fuel rails, you cant miss it, it has the large insulated hose going to the valve cover to the PCV heater. I haven't had a fuse pop since unplugging. It seemed like it gook about 3 days to pop last time.
Would you be willing to send the picture to my email: lungerkenneth@yahoo.com ?

Being new to the forum maybe I don't understand how to view the picture, however I don't see a link to view same. This fuse popping is driving me up the wall! Have you ever had the fuse pop while driving the vehicle? Have you learned what the purpose of this pvc heater is? Sorry to bombard you with questions, but right now you are my only hope of avoiding the dealership!
Would you be willing to send the picture to my email: lungerkenneth@yahoo.com ?

I just forgot to paste the link, check again-The fuse seems to pop during key on type operation, but I don't know for sure since I have only replaced it twice. We seemed to have noticed the ABS light come on for the first time at start up. I have no clue what the heater does but it does not seem be a big deal that it is unplugged. If I go another week or so without the fuse popping I will plug it back in and see what happens, if it pops again I will replace the heater.
If you find out what purpose this heater serves I would be interested to know!

Hmm interesting-I haven't noticed any difference, maybe yours is actually working. Make sure you only unplug the wire harness and not the big hose. You could cause a vacuum leak if you don't plug in the hose correctly or if crack the hose.
I assume the truck runs normal after you plug the harness in?

How rough is it running?

I first unplugged it while the truck was cold and not running. It was running almost like one that has a coil pack gone bad. At idle it would pulsate and it seemed almost like it would be missing when accelerated. I then plugged it back in while it was running. I jiggled the plug around to see if I could get the fuse to pop, but it never did. I will go back out to the garage after the children go down and play with it some more. So your truck doesn't seem to be affected my removing the plug? I'm unplugging the same piece. Keep me posted and I will do the same for you.
