Default Full throttle belt squeel

We got the truck tuned, new Borla exhaust and s&b intake installed, and was wanting to do some 0-60 runs and 1/4 mi runs. I noticed right before it shifts 1-2 or 2-3, I get some squealing under the hood, maybe a tensioner giving to much or something causing it to over exert its self. For you guys running your pickups wot, at times, have you seen this, and what are some ways to get rid of it, truck currently sits at 42,000mi 5.4 v8 screw

Could be either the belt or tensioner. I might replace the belt first and if that doesn't work you can try to get a heave duty tensioner like would be used in a supercharged application.

Mine does it. I've checked the belt and don't see anything wrong.

It is your belt mine did the same after custom tunes. Get a gator back belt and it will solve all your problems.

^ This. Normal belt slip with shifting at WOT. This is why Troyer sells gatorback belts to attempt to overcome it.

Squeal is slip. Slip is a loose belt. Either belt is stretched or tensioner is weak. Gator back belt is a band aid non-fix.

If belt is stretched. Then a gator back is a fix.

^ Rock auto sells them. Anywhere that is a dealer of Goodyear belts should carry them.
