Default Fuel tank vent leak?

Started about a month ago. At the gas pump filling my truck and about the time the pump trips, I notice gas pouring out from somewhere right above my fuel tank. Not like crazy amount but enough to get your attention.

Figure there must be a rotten / broke fuel vent line in that area.

If there is a leak in the filler neck, you should look at it.

Not at the filler neck, it's directly above the fuel tank. Like right on top of it.

I had this and it was the vent pipe come off. Clipped it back on and no problem since. You dont need to drop the tank just lay underneath and reach up
