I looked at the EVAP setup today and it does have a canister vent solenoid and filter. It is mounted above the axle. The filter is a big boxy housing and the vent solenoid connects to it via a short hose. It is round with the connector at the bottom, the hose from the charcoal canister connects to it about midway. It connects to the filter at the opposite end from the connector. You should be able to disconnect the hose coming from the charcoal canister and blow air though the solenoid and it should flow easily.

Not really.. although repeatedly leaving the gas on the paint has the potential to discolor it. When I happens to me I'll typically use the sponge side of the gas station windshield wash sticks to gently clean the gas off.

I gotta agree with this............

I went to a station I've never been to before today. after waaaaaay too long I had only pumped 6 gallons. I was so frustrated with the slow delivery, I went to a different station. I didn't have a stopwatch, but it seemed that in the same time I pumped 6 gal at the other station I pumped 20 gal.

Today's gasoline delivery pumps with vapor recovery systems are kinda complicated and require maintenance. If the station owner/manager doesn't do the maintenance, or at least looking to see if it's working, it's a problem for the consumer.

Haw!!!! That's awesome dude!

Anyhow, I googled this issue and it looks like the canister above the axle could be the culprit, be it a kinked hose or whatever, but more than likely it can become clogged under dusty conditions, and may need to be replaced. I wonder if there is a way to pull that s**t outta there an clean it or something?
