Did my a few months ago after a good snow...Drove all day, pulled like 8 people out of ditches, parked all night, next morning, truck wouldn't start. I knew about this issue, just hadn't got around to it. I was able to get one from a buddy who works at a stealership and paid around $100 for it with the spacer kit included. 5 min later I was back on the road.

Mine is getting fixed right now. Got up this am to go plow snow at 3:45 and huh truck wont start. Now my wife had this problem 2 years ago with her 06 expidetion as well so thats what we checked first. The only good part to this is that it was in my garage and the local dealer I bought it from less than 2 weeks ago is going to fix it for nothing.

A buddy of mine is a Ford Tech and he told me in a pinch if you disconnect the connector from the module, and put 2 -30 amp fuses in the connector it will let the pump run to get you home. It will blow the fuses when you shut the truck off, but it will run fine till then. Never tried it, but he said it does work.

I changed mine in my 2008 as preventative. Got the Dorman with the stand offs from Amazon for $56. Cheap insurance although my original didn't look bad at all. I'll just save it in case of future need.

Just bought a used 2wd f150 this weekend and decided to have a look at the fpdm while I was under the truck yesterday. There was a bunch of corrosion but after I scrapped it off I knocked it with my flashlight a few times and it seems solid.

What do you guys think, should I just replace it?

Yup... Get rid of that old one and get the new one on stilts.. It will leave you stranded one day if you don't...

Peace of mind alone is well worth the $60 or so for a new module.

Does the module fail due to moisture getting to the circuit board? Checking mine today. If the corrosion is not extensive, can I just clean it up and mount it so it is not in contact with the metal cross member it is attached to?

If there is some other reason for failure, I'll just treplace it.
