Default Fuel Injection Pressure Sensor

2007 King Ranch 4x4 - 5.4L - 205,000 miles

I changed out my spark plugs this weekend and removed the device shown above (which I think is the fuel injection pressure sensor) or better access. When I was done with the plugs, I replaced it, but gas leaked everywhere from it when I started the engine. I looked around and found a small gasket that had fallen off and replaced it, however, it still leaks (although much less).

Is there a way to get a new gasket, or should I replace the whole assembly? Also, is this an item (such as spark plugs) that needs to be Motorcraft?

Thanks!!

So the small gasket is an o-ring Correct? You need to find a new o-ring and Harbor Freight has an assortment that may possibly work. Clean the seating surfaces, lube o-ring with a little oil from the dipstick install and tighten the screws that hold it in place, reconnect vacuum line and you should be good to go. O-ring size and thickness need to match. I guess its possible the dealership may have replacement o-rings.

If it's an oring that's damaged you might be able to fine a replacement at Ace Hardware, or another hardware store. Just be sure to take the old one with you to match it.

I had same issue be sure not to pinch o ring when you put back in but just match up the o ring and replace should fix your issue .

Why did you replace it? Having pressure issues? Maybe try putting the other back in.
