I did the same. Replaced the switch first but unfortunately wasn't the issue. Replaced the motor and worked good as new. Good luck man.

Im thinking since the passenger side window still works but gives me problems when i use the driver side switch and no problems at all when i use the passenger side switch that its the just the switch on the driver side, does that make sense?

Check your wires in the rubber boot from door to cab. I had the same problem turns out.had a wire in there almost broke in half. Took me 5mins to fix
