Front passenger carpet soaking wet
It seems like one thing after another with this truck lately. I guess that's what you deal with on a 10 year old truck with 100K+ miles.
I notice a musty/ammonia smell recently after a couple days of hard rain. Lifted my passenger front floor mat and the carpet and backing are soaking wet. I pulled the sill plate and the wiring channel was full of water and rusty.
Unfortunately, it's not as simple as the A/C drain problem. I haven't used the A/C much lately anyway. It turns out that if I spray a strong stream of water into the gap between the A-pillar and the front fender or around the bottom of the A-pillar where it meets the cowling, I get a very slow trickle of water into the cab in front of the door sill wiring channel. I haven't been able to see how far up it starts without first removing the fuse box. Any ideas where I should start looking? I'm going to take the cowl off next. Hopefully I don't have to remove the fender.
