My Truck Got Keyed!!
So my truck got keyed sometime over the past week. They started on the hood and did the wave all the was around the truck and ended on the other side of the hood.
My question is the local body shop that i want to take it to is not on my insurances company body shop list. So the claim guy is coming out on Tuesday and they sad that they will just write me a check and then I can take it to the my body shop. How much do you guys think this thing is going to cost? It's deep and cannot be buffed out. Every panel has been keyed including my tonneau cover. Truck is silver also and I have been told silver is hard to blend.
Thanks

No idea what it's going to cost, but man that really sucks! I truly hate punks that do that kind of stuff simply because they're jealous of what you have.
Good luck in getting it repaired and let us know what the insurance company pays you to have it done.

Morning 06CREW,
Well that just sucks.
I could see my 2 ex wives doing that to my car, but to have it done random like... there is no justice either. Even if you caught them in the act. It isn't like you could key their face up. Grrr...
Now your out the deductable if you decide to go that route. Also, your insurance rates could go up, depending on your insurance people.
Then again, you could do like the one guy that I seen in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He just got out the pan and roller and painted his own car. It would be distintive and you could paint it over and over again.

I vote solid color. I do like a little darker than the Ford silver mabye grayish silver but that would mean doing the jambs to make it come out right. If you can find the pics of my wife's Audi a few pages back thats the silver/gray I like and think it would look awsome on an F150. Good luck.
