Default Front end bumps stops?

Just did the lower ball joints on my '04 4X4. With the front wheel off, suspension fully drooped, the upper steering knuckle at the upper ball joint was hitting the coil spring. And I could barely get the tie rod end to drop out of the knuckle. Shouldn't there be a bump stop somewhere or does the coilover act as a droop limiter? I was watching a youtube video on how to do the ball joint and that guys suspension wasn't drooped as far as mine.

Thanks in advance.

At least I got the ball joint done.
