I feel your pain... I spent 4 years in Minot, ND and saw some pretty cold days (-50*f) and those radiator covers were pretty popular. My Jeep would take forever to warm up in those temperatures. Cardboard serves the same purpose but doesn't look as nice.

I'm running a winter front on my truck, it looks alright but more then serves it's purpose the truck warms up way faster and keeps the heat better well driving, can't go wrong with it

some cold winters I had to use cardboard. not pretty but serves the purpose.
this thread was/is about trucks in northern cold.
If 40 to 70 degrees F is cold for you, move farther south towards the equator. (snowbird in f150)

It was an Xmas gift from my folks, they got it from a local truck/van outfitter and paid around $54 CAD. It mounts by way of 3m stick on "button" snaps, but I could not get them to stick so I drilled out the centers and screwed them to the front of my truck, if you want i'll snap a few pics for you today.

so i would like all of you cold weather guys to chime in here..,
so winter finally made it to nebraska. we got a few inches of snow and the temps are down in the 0* range and the "feels like" is somewhere around -30*ish. when i was on my way to work this morning i was driving with the wind at my back and the darn truck just would not keep the heater as hot as it can be. and when i would get up to 60mph or so the radiator would be flowing so much air it would start to cool down truck. have any of you guys looked into getting something like this?

i know you mostly see this stuff on diesel trucks but they make them for our truck so there must be a market for them........only thing i dont like about them is that they have "stick on" snaps. I would really like something that just velcro straps around the honeycomb grill i have

Had the exact winterfront on my GMC diesel I just got rid of. Yes the plastic snaps suck. Broke about 3-4 off then and to use velcro to hold it on in the areas where the snaps were missing. It also comes with a screen front for summer which I never used.
I can send you the winter front and see if you can McGyver a strap system for it. Just pay for shipping. PM me if your interested.
