Ford Extended Warranty-Worth it?
I bought one from the local dealer with my 2007 XLT. I recently had the plugs changed and they were clean as a whistle at 65.5K miles. It seems to me that if Cam Phasers or Plugs (or anything else very likely to go bad) isn't covered because it's a "wear item", I might be better served to save that cash for what DOES go wrong. I bought the truck about 5 months ago, so I know there'll be some pro-rata taken off.
I searched for a thread elsewhere regarding this and didn't see one that specifically addressed FORD aftermarket/extended Warranties.
Any helpful advice or experiences are appreciated. Thanks...

I've never seen an extended warranty on a vehicle worth it, financially. Ever.

With that many threads about it, it's weird that it didn't come up in searches either within or outside this platform when I looked for them and yes, I used "Ford" (and "F-150", heh, maybe it was the hyphen) and "Extended Warranty" in the parameters.
Nonetheless, that's exactly what I was looking for and thanks for the links!

for everyone else EXACTLY
A tuner has very little to do with the Issue but I've read that Ford doesnt like to service things for free so they find any loophole not to pay.
Very similar to the frozen latch issue which became a TSB only after a significant number of people complained.
I didnt do Burnouts (maybe 1), and I dont have boat
I wont argue with the local dealership , but I will write a letter for Ford

No problem...
Now, may I also presume that if I cancel it, every opportunity will be found to put forth the narrative (if/when something goes wrong) that if it'd KEPT the extended Warranty, that it would have been covered? Or does the documentation for its having existed etherize once canceled? I don't guess I care, but I do recall reading in any number of posts that I'm better to find a qualified local mechanic that's not affiliated with a Dealership to do any work. That turned out to be valuable advice as that plug change ran a little over $200.00. Which seems like a lot until I read accounts of the "Oops, there goes another broken plug" phenomenon. As I posted in another thread, I'm not likely to do anything more challenging than driving it in Snow/Ice when the weather's bad (which isn't a drastic thing where I live) and haul stuff back and forth from Lowes/Despot. With its previous owner, it appears to have lived the life of "Riley" and probably will do pretty much the same for as long as I'm around to own it. I just needed something "tougher" than a passenger car to haul stuff or get around when conditions/necessity calls for it.
