Since I started this thread, I'll post some additional findings. I queried two sites that where provided by some of you posters in this thread. Here are my results, using a request for a left side cowl, 2005 F150 standard cab:
1) My local Ford dealership quoted me $87.28. When I asked him for a discount (I mentioned I bought the truck from their dealership), he offered 15% off (savings of $13.92) bringing the cost to $73.36
2) WWW.FASTPARTSNETWORK.COM offers the part for $58.04, and shipping to me in Texas was around $7.00. Still cheaper than my local Ford dealership.
3) WWW.DIRECTFORDPARTS.COM offers the part for $51.63. I did not check the shipping charge, but I'll assume it would be close to option 2.
So, if you are not in a hurry (can wait 3 to 5 days using the ground shipping; overnight shipping IS avaialable for more money), it does indeed save you some bucks to use these links above.
A thousand thanks to those that posted them. If you're ever in the Dallas area, send me a pmail, and I'll buy you a beer.
