ford 2007 5.4 engine oil not getting to right lifters
Just bought a 2007 F-150 5.4l. Problem is loud ticking on the right side. It also has screeching noise at about 1500 rpm's. Screeching goes away at about 2000 rpm's. Just changed the timing chains, guides, tensioners, oil pump and phasers. no change. Ran the engine with the right valve cover removed and getting little oil to the lifters. Any help would be great...

Blockage is possible. The passenger head is known for poor oiling. Im not sure where the oil comes from But if there’s some screetch I’d be suspect of a few rocker arms starting to seize up.
Had one stop rolling on mine and cost me a camshaft.

If you replaced lash's it would be wise to change all rollers too.
And you should have cleaned the lash wells and soaked and primed lash's . Plus you should have cleaned that small path in the cap in the front cam journal .And vcts bodies should have been cleaned . The oil path goes to the drivers side first it has a gallery tube in the motor that takes it to the passenger side . Passenger side is frequently a problem .
Just before I did the timing job I did a motor flush ,this made it worse and it broke stuff loose and it threw more codes. I also use marvel mystery oil now and always full syn oil .
Are you calling the rollers lifters or lash's . I hope you are using all oem . My lifters and lash's ran $265 from oem select ebay . Remember all parts removed from a cam have to go back exactly where it came out except new . all caps are custom fitted . Not changing all the rollers and lash's can cost you a cam and maybe a head .

just ordered new rollers and cam. did check all rollers before reinstall and found no issues with them. Can anybody tell me how the oil is routed in the right head. will try to clean all passages.

Think i might have found the problem. Seems like the gasket between the head and VVT valve housing peels some material. It clogged the hole on the housing that feeds the lash adjusters. Hence little oil to the rollers. Going to change the rollers and cam when i receive them anyway. blew air from the oval passage over on the right and was clear to the drivers side tensioner.

It always has struck me as (?????) why the oil supply comes into the rear of Bank1 head - goes ALL_THE_WAY to the front, through the VCT Valve body, then ALL_THE_WAY back down the head supplying cyl 1, 2, 3, 4. Engineer was 'OCD' I guess, and wanted to supply them in their numerical order. (See the Oil Flow Diagram)
But guess what - cyl 4 is always the one that develops the 'tick'. Imagine that!
You are doing it RIGHT thing (in my view).
