Default Foam seal or gasket under wiper cowl

Hi all,

I removed my wiper cowl to paint and clean underneath. It was straightforward thanks for all who have shared the steps and their experiences here, so thanks a lot!

One thing that was different for me was that I had a foam seal or gasket of some sort that was underneath on both sides. Unfortunately I can't tell where they were or where they should go back. It's almost like they were just sitting down under the cowl. Does anyone happen to know? They likely need to be replaced if they're important, as they're pretty dried out. The pics show where they pretty much fell or were sitting when I removed the cowl.

Thanks in advance!

It is installed on the leading edge closest to the windshield.

You can pick up a new gasket from Tractor Supply/Home Depot/etc. and install prior to reinstalling the cowl cover.

Thanks for the quick reply Beefcake! I figured it was something along those lines. In fact, I found a pic that shows them now:

I appreciate the help!
