I've been happy with Mobil 1 trans fluid as I also tow a travel trailer. If you have a plastic plug in the bottom of the pan-throw it away. It was put there when the trans was installed and means the pan was never dropped. I was amazed how dirty my magnet was @ 30K when I changed mine. Getting ready to do it again soon @60K. I used a Wix trans filter-no problems.

I just had mine changed, no flush.

Anything that is messy and involves lots of fluids, I usually have a shop do anyway. Unless it's after hours and not with my truck................

if i pull the return line off the radiator and start the truck i can pump out what's in the pan. then refill the pan and start the engine ans see how much will pump out before the thermostat shuts off the circulator. then i can drop and change.if i can get out half the fluid i can do this every year for the cost of fluid. i checked the level and its at the bottom of the crosshatch it has a leak. if i wait till 100,000 miles i would have a problem.
