Flooding multiple cyl's
Ok so the back story, i bought a 04 150 FX4 off a customer, it need more work than he had the money for. It came in kinda running, skipping bad, 6 of the "broke" when changing plugs. He already bought 8 COP and boots. So i installed new plugs and the the COP and boots. After that would start would turn over but not start. Checked plugs and found all were wet, like the it was get to much fuel. So I replaced the FPDM and i'm still having the same issue. If i unplug all the injectors it will fire for 2-3 seconds then die. If i hook up some of the injector it will start. I dont wanna throw a ton of money in it cause it was suppose to be a "flip truck". any ideas?

Injectors are fired from pcm
Pressure sensor on drivers rail tell fpdm to control fuel pump to rail . Fpdm above rear axle high failure rate due to corrosion . Back splits open soaking circuit board . This year truck does not send fuel back to tank ,it sends it by demand. If all the cyl wet I would suspect high fuel rail pressure . But usually fpdm just fails and won't start fuel pump .
Ford in its wisdom took schrader valve off fuel rail . This is also the years that they had bad siemens fuel injectors . Leaking fuel injectors can hydro cly causing damage .
Check and replace fpdm ? I changed all my injectors for new at 100k. Oh I re- read you did change it . I guess test the injectors to see if they leak . Pull whole rail put newspaper under it turn key on none should leak . If sensor bad on rail will that give high fuel pressure ? I know lots of guys started by changing that sensor instead of fpdm . Don't know if autozone rents an inline fuel pressure gauge . Could gas be bad ,water etc . I would test gas out of filter /.
Very interesting problem .

Fuel rail pressure sensor.. if it were the FPDM you would be getting no fuel.

Thanks to all that helped I got it running yesterday...... Ran rough for 3-4 mins and straightened out a little then lost oil pressure , so it had other issues. Getting another motor and start over. Thanks again.
