Flareside cargo bed mounts? ?
I seen these in passing, on a truck and for the life of me I had no idea what they were. I've done some googling but I'm not sure what Ford calls them or what people are supposed to do with them.
Can you give me some insite?

Or hand holds for people riding in the bed
There is a groove in the underside, so you can hook a rope under the edge instead of tying it to the mount
