Brake Question
I have an 08 F150 and the front wheels seem to always be covered in brake dust. Is it normal for all vehicles? I had an 04 F150 and never had this problem. The truck has over 60k miles on it.

Different pads will create different amounts of dust.
I just switched to hawk pads about 2_3 weeks ago and have noticed a huge decrease in dust. I wash about 1 time a week and wheels are still plenty clean everytime

I have heard alot of complaints about the factory pads being terribly dusty.
Alot of guys I know put EBC pads on their motorcycles for this very reason. I used EBC on my bike as well. I plan to use try them on the truck next change.

Dust is ugly, but brakes are all about stopping power. Esp. with these heavy trucks. Would be a great combination, low dust and good stopping. I have heard ceramic need some time to warm up until they reach optimal temperature for stopping power. Take everything into consideration. Hawk lts the brand that has been mentioned heavily as far as low dust and good stopping power.

I have EBC yellowstuff pads and there dilled and slotted rotors.I need this for the stopping power at the drag strip. They have other pads and rotors though that are more cost friendly for your normal truck. I must say I am pleased with the low dusting and the stopping power is phenominal. I am also a two wheel drive so i went with there complete upgrade kit which replaces the bearing and I now have seperate rotors and bearings instead of that one piece crap from Ford.
