I had one sitting on the hump between the driver and passenger seat because I never got around to mounting it there. I took a turn too hard and it slid and hit my door and started spraying everywhere... I don't keep one in the cab anymore. I'm going to mount one in my bed soon.
sorry, that made me laugh. prolly not funny at the time, but it made me laugh.

It was actually pretty funny. The pin somehow slid out before it hit my door. Scared the **** out of me and my friend. Still trying to get that **** out of everything.

I can't remember the last time I was pinned in a vehicle that was on fire. Mind you, that's not to say it will never happen, but I prefer to think of mine as something that can be used for OTHER drivers, not myself.

15 SCAB 2 1/2 pound mounted to the front facing outside edge of of the box under back seat driver side, out of the way and out of sight with seat down yet easy access from out side without lifting seat + 2 1/2 pounder is much more capable than a 1 pound.

I know of many cases where people have been pinned in their vehicle. Having the extinguisher within reach so you can keep a potential fire at bay until the authorities arrive can make the difference between life and death.
