should I be able to see the pics on page 1? All I see is the 3rd party hosting speedo.
Getting ready to dive into the 04 f150. ? tho it currently has lockouts, should I leave them or put new phasers in? and where's the best place for these timing parts?
Thanks,

You won't see them, photobucket made sure of that by holding our pictures ransom. If your looking for the timing chain kit, I got a Cloyes kit from Rock Auto. The phasers I bought OEM off of Ebay along with OEM VCT Solenoids.
Hope this helps

O those dirty rascals... Thanks for the info, I've been reading, searching and looking. I've decided on one of the cloyes kits but I want cast tensioners and 340 or ford racing pump, but I'm just on the fence on new phasers or check and keep the lockouts. In theory the phasers are neat and I read somewhere they give up to 40 more horse over the regular non vct system Dunno..... I'm one of those whatever I do I'll keep thinking what if........

Can bad phasers make my truck loose power around 60-70 mph and make it not want to accelerate further also reduce trucks fuel economy to 8mpg? I'm pretty sure this is the problem but would like to know if someone else has the same problem

My buddy recently replaced my VCTs along with a new timing kit. Since the replacement, the diesel knock has all but disappeared in the truck. I know its been suggested before, but I would start with VCTs first before going the phaser replacement route. Just my 0.02.

This depends. If the truck is 07-08 then you have to remove the valve covers and IMO if you're going in that far then you might as well do the rest and get it done right. If the truck is 06 and before then yes swapping the VCT solenoids is simple but is usually not the root problem, just a band aid.

I would look into a misfire first. These trucks are known for loss of power and some even think their transmission is slipping when it turns out the problem was a low grade misfire. Do you have any way to pull live data?

Mine is a 2010 Lariat SCrew. With the timing fix and new VCTs and associated tune with new plugs, gained about 100 miles per tank of gas driving highway. City/highway mix I'm getting about 40-50 miles per tank. No diesel knock return thus far and its been about 3 months. Didn't do the Cam phasers since this was being covered under an aftermarket warranty. Cost me about $300 OOP total. They covered everything else.

Have catalytic convertors checked also. Can be bad without causing A cel. Sounds like them to me.
