Check your tensioner on that side. The tensioner makes the chain wrap nearly 300 degrees around the chain, more than tight enough for it to not skip. Also make sure the chain didn't stretch somehow and that your crank sprocket is good.

The crank sprocket is good, shows no wear at all. And the tensioner is brand new motorcraft. Is it possible that it is just not getting oil pressure to that side -- enough to keep the chain tight and for the phaser to function? Is it possible the passageways are clogged? I mentioned the stereo noise, maybe something electrical?

Stereo noise sounds unrelated to me. Unplug the VCT solenoid on that side and see if it goes away. Even still, skipping SIX teeth, that's not normal even without oil pressure to the tensioner. The tensioners are still keeping the chain tightened without oil pressure, granted it's not as tight as it would be WITH oil pressure.

When you put everything back on, did you put those capacitors back onto the front (near where the VCT solenoids are)? Those are noise filters.

Yep, put the capacitors back, both times, but haven't checked the stereo since the last time. Just thought it might be a helpful symptom to diagnose the ticking, misfire, and jumping chain.

This starts hard (always has), almost sounds like a diesel firing up. Is it possible something in the fuel injection system is causing this stuff? Sorry for the dumb questions, just racking my brain here.

So I replaced my chains tensioner, guides and phasers after finishing my check engine light came on, I've checked all connections and everything looks good, my vct selonoid read 10 ohms on each side and the cam position sensor read 317 and 315 , I have no idea what the problem is but I got 4 codes and they were p0345, p0340,p0349, p0344, I need to get this truck running the way it should be, upon test driving it seemed fine , a little doggy, didn't want to shift and didn't get up to speed like it used to, any advice would be greatly appreciated

Haven't looked those codes up yet but i think they are misfire related. Have you checked all the COP connections as well as the fuel injectors?

Sorry, looked the codes up after my post and they are related to cam position sensor. If you didnt have those codes before, first, i would check the plug connections to make sure they click together correctly.
Did you make sure the colored links were all lined up right on both the phasers and the crank sprocket and did you put the reluctor wheel in front of the crank sprocket back in with the teeth facing outwards?

As I was putting everything together I was watching the how to video, I'm pretty sure the timing is 100% correct but I might have to tear it apart and redo it, all the connections are good just re checked them today, can you think of anything else it could be? I really appreciate the help btw!!!
