Some before and after pics. I had both tensioners with blown out seals. The right timing chain was also staring to hit the front cover. I will post pics of the tensioners later.

I just don't want to be ***** deep in this thing and have to run out to grab a wrench that I don't have or something stupid like that.
I am doing this from memory so I may be leaving some things out. My little disclaimer.
You will need metric sockets. Ranging from 6,,8,10,12,13,14,15,18, to 20 I believe. Also will need a T27 tire to remove the VCT solenoids. ( makes taking the right valve cover off with out evacuating the freon in your Ac possible). You will also need a harmonic balancer puller/installer. Various ratchets from 1/4 drive to 1/2 inch drive with an assortment of extensions, and a foot/lb and in/lb torque wrench. I went online and found some guides on removing the front cover and along with the first page of this post I was able to have all the torque values for the bolts.
I hope this helps. I am sure others will chime in on any tool I missed.

I did the timing gear set( includes tensioners, guides , chains and sprocket.) along with the cam phasers. I will post the part numbers when I get home. Got the phasers from Amazon( they were cheaper the rock auto) and the timing set and all gaskets from rock auto.

This is my receipt for the parts from rock auto. The crankshaft seal comes with the timing cover seal set so you don't have to buy it separate. I believe these are the part numbers the OP posted on the first page.

Default Repaired!

I have owned my 2004 for about a year, and finally last week had the repairs done.

I bought this kit:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261259751377?item=261259751377&viewitem=&vxp=mtr
And mechanic agreed they are all the right parts.

I had to go and purchase a valve cover gasket set as well, as it was not included in the kit and mechanic insisted.

Only other items needed was a jug of antifreeze to replace what he drained when removing rad, and enough oil and a filter to replace.

Mechanic in Brantford, ON charged me $750, and now that they are installed, the truck runs BEAUTIFULLY!

Thanks
Ryan

Default 2006 f150 tick

Hi guys my truck has a hard tick on start-up, disappears when warm, ticks hard again thru out acceleration? Truck only has 122,000 km's I bought it at 108,000 and it was nice and quiet. This noise started a couple days ago on my way home from a trip to Michigan to pick up a used fifth wheel trailer. Trailer is light, under 5000 pounds empty. My truck is the trailering package with the 9300 pound payload and the 373 gears. I changed the rear diff fluid before the trip, as well as idler tensioner, and one pulley that were bad. It just seems to me from reading all of your stories and listening to your videos that my noise is different? I will try to post a video of it and hopefully someone can help diagnose mine. The noise does seem to come from the passenger side front, and I have tried pulling the solenoids when warm, made no difference. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba, are weather here is extreme, from very cold to very hot, so my oil changes are done at 3000 miles. Thanks in advance for any and all input!

I had a similar noise only difference is that it was always present regardless of engine temp and speed. Can you hear the metal tapping out of your muffler? Check out these video which will explain what I think is your problem:

I had a tick that started and sounded like a valve knock. Found out my right side rear spark plug ( #4 cyl) was loose. Found it when I was doing my phaser and timing chain set.

So my best choice for now would be to pull the valve covers and replace all valve lash adjusters, and the plugs. Anything else I should look look at while I am in there? Thanks.... Dan
