When the parts are new do they require a break in period? I just dont understand why all of these new parts are in and it runs sharp that it makes noise in the front. I'm debating about putting some thicker lucas additive in it to maybe get a good sticky coating on the chain in hopes that quites it down..? any advise is appreciated! Thanks
While you were in there you should have replaced you lash adjusters and followers which are the source of most of the noises in these engines.

Default noise

i had a mechanic do it. I bought the parts myself but had him do the work of swapping parts out. i squirted a little lucas in it and it seemed to quite the chatter.

it has 135,000 plus, i might add that since i have had it back for two weeks i have commuted twice to work which is 300 miles one way and still runs smooth.

You're a the right mileage for lash adjusters unfortunately. Part are not expensive but taking the valve covers off to get to them is a royal pain in the ***. But an automotive stethoscope ($10) and hold it up to the valve covers, if it's the lash adjusters and followers you'll clearly hear the ticking. All of mine were shot at 115k. I posted a couple of videos on one of my other posts showing the difference between a damaged lash adjuster and on that's working correctly. The replacement part kits are sold in ebay for under $300.

No sweat bud. Don't recall of I mention it or not in the videos but the purpose of the lash adjusters are to control slack between the followers and the valves and to lubricate the cam. When the seize they stop lubricating the cam and they can no longer adjust valve lash clearance. Here are the videos:

it is the same engine, but most of the issues are ironed out the late 07s and up, but not saying it can't happen
