Good job Torqued, looks great, glad she is running good. Hopefully I will never have to do that job again but thanks for the link to the tensioners and guide arms, that will be what I will use then. Sorry to hear about the compressor and the oil pump but at least its back together and running right now.

The short answer is "I did something STUPID". The better answer perhaps more helpful to someone else down the road is: I SHOULD HAVE GONE UNDERNEATH, ATTACHED THE 'O'-ring and PICK-UP TUBE/SCREEN, then STARTED THE PICK-UP SCREEN SUPPORT BOLT INTO THE CRANKCASE FINGER TIGHT --- BEFORE TORQUING THE OIL PUMP DOWN. If the Oil Pump is not seated properly (which happened to me), the pickup tube support bracket will not align good enough to start the bolt into the crankcase.
As for the A/C, same thing, "STUPID". I loosened the four bolts on the front of compressor (breaking the seal) before I realized it mounts sideways to the block!!!. A respectible A/C guy recommended - "having the clamshell seal on the compresser broken, and 212K miles on it - I might as well replace it and the dryer" or expect trouble soon. OUCH - another $300! But it cools REAL good.
@vintageman , it IS running good. It picked up a noticeable amount of power and responsiveness. Doesn't take near as much accelerator to maintain cruising speed. Before installing the new plugs I checked compression on all 8 wet and dry. Highest was 174 dry / 178 wet. Lowest was 158 dry / 164 wet. It now idles full temp with 5W30 at 26-27 lbs oil pressure / 25 in gear with A/C on. Should be good for another 200k miles - HOPEFULLY.

He is using FULL synt & not a dino blend.
Comparison is not as simple as your referring.
Everyone has there opinions & theres different driving environments/conditions.

I just replaced the cam phasers 1 week ago and now the truck keeps loosing time.
The mechanic doesn't know what to do.
Should I replace the oil pump ?
It seems once the truck is hot and the oil thins that is when I notice the miss in it
What do I do ?
95 F150 with a 5.4l

No cam phasers till 2004.
5.0 & 5.8 pushrod engine up till 1996.
Check the balancer rubber & distributer internals.

As already stated in the response above this one, the 1995 F150 does not have Phasers, if your mechanic is saying he replaced your phasers a week ago and you have a 1995 F150, then I would find another mechanic after getting your money back from him for not doing the work. Also, if you do have a 1995, then you would probably get better assistance in the appropriate section for your year group as the engines are different. Good Luck.
