Yes I can upload a video, probably in the next week or so.
FYI... Last night I started my truck and it sounded like someone threw a wrench in the front of the motor. I have heard this noise a few times before when I start the truck, but never this loud. I thought my starter might be going out, but this time I heard the noise coming from the very front of the motor.

Hey Friends,
So since I have bought the truck I have had this "ticking" sound. A friend of mine said "thats just how those F150s sound" - I wasnt really satisified with that answer, so after a bit of looking I landed here.
I'm thinking that I am experiencing the same things that you all are - I have a video I will post. I have been out of country for some time and looking to get the truck back in order. Last week it threw a code indicating theres been misfires in cylindar 3 - so I picked up a COP to change it out to see if it will fix that (have yet to install the new COP yet). Also the truck's CPU is showing that it is only getting 6.8-7.2 mpg, sometimes peaking at 9.1, which it used to show around 12.1 mpg (which still seemed incredibly low).
Here is the video (if it is of any help) just click the picture and it should take you to the video.
Any advice is very much appreciated.
Thanks,
SR

That sounds like injector noise to me. They are loud on these trucks. Cam phaser noise (when bad) sounds like you have a diesel running at idle, but only after the truck has warmed up, not from a cold start. I would replace your plugs and any suspect coil packs first and see if things improve

Can anyone suggest someone in the North Houston area who is familiar with the F150. I have had my cam phasers replaced about 2 years ago by the dealer, at my cost, (and Im not going back to them) now I hear a rattle that comes and goes depending on my acceleration and when putting into gear. I need to get it listened to and looked at to see if its the timing chain issue. Truck is a 2004 with about 83,000 on it and frankly I'm wondering if I should just cut bait with this damned thing. My mileage is slowly getting worse also, even when driving it like a granny. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
