Default Few clean pictures of the truck.

So ive been avoiding cleaning the truck for a couple weeks. Been too lazy. This evening was very nice out so i figured i better get out there and clean er up. Still could use a coat of wax and some conditioning on the plastics but the gnats started driving me crazy so i will save that for another day. The sunset was making the DSG look really cool and i tried to catch that in the pictues but i dont think they came out.

Clean! The sunset definitely adds a nice soft light.

What's up with your front Ford emblem? I know a lot of people have customized theirs...what is yours?

I wanted to get some sort of overlay for them but i couldnt ever find anything that i really wanted, so i had a can of nightshades laying around, the original plan was just to completly black them out. after i did that i really didnt like the black, it looked to boring. so i took some rubbing alcohol and tried taking the night shades off. well it wouldnt fully come off as it kind of dyed the badge. i kinda liked the way it looked but i wanted it a little darker, so i took a terry applicator pad and soaked it in nightshades and lightly rubbed it until i got it as dark as i wanted. the FORD is kind of ghost looking in person. you can barley see it in there unless its under the right light. couldnt get the chrome surround to come out right so i just sanded it to look more like stainless steel. it all looks good except there are tiny scratch on them from where i lightly sanded them before to get the paint to stick. you can kinda tell in the pics but it isnt too noticable.

I thought the emblem was from oakley or something, it looks hella cool. After I get my new grille, i might just steal that idea, black out the emblem and leave the chrome. thanks for the idea.
