Default Failure to start after replacing water pump.

I have a 2006 F150xlt 4.6L RWD
The water pump was leaking, so i replaced it with a new one.
I did not disturb anything but a coolant hose, and moved the intake. I did not unplug any sensors.
Once reassembled, The engine will crank but will not hit.
No codes are showing.
Could this be an issue with PATS or the security?
Could this be the fuel pump driver module? (as this looks old, cracked, corroded, broken when i dropped the spare tire to inspect)
Why would the truck run fine when it was parked, and not fire after a water pump swap?

Most likely because you inadvertantly touched something you didn't know you had.

Check the crank position sensor wiring.

If the FPDM is old, cracked, and broken, all signs point to this being a major cause. Replace it now, rather than on the side of the road later.

Those are the first 2 things I'd look at.

Did you get antifreeze on plugs and in plug wells . Clean boots or put new on . Clean plugs and wells use contact cleaner on connectors . For sure on crank sensor .Those plug wells should be very clean . Maybe you need plugs anyway only go 60k with them . Clean that antifreeze and oil off everything but don't get water in wells . Don't pressure clean .

either you knocked a sensor or you doused one in coolant

Thank you all for the replies. I tried to start this morning, nothing. I just got home from work an hour or so ago, and tried again. Fired right up, no problem. Running very rough though, 650NutCase I think you are right about that, the crankshaft positioning sensor is very close and i did not drain system before doing this. it seems to have just "dried out" while i was at work. Like i said, still running rough. If anyone is changing water pump i recommend draining coolant system beforehand. I may still need a new CPS, i do not know.

Just made a quick trip down the road, misfire on cyl 6. Will let you know what i find. More than likely coolant in cylinder.

You may have coolant in the spark plug well of cylinder 6. Pull the COP and shine a light in to check.

Replace the sensor, it's only a few bucks
