To many miles, asking to much.

What are your needs? What is your price range? I would NOT pay 12k for 134k miles.

I think thats a pretty good deal. Around where I live trucks go for way more than $12,000. And KBB value is $15,370 if its in "excellent" condition, which it looks to be.

What's your price range? Are you set on 12k or willing to go up?

You should beable to find plenty of trucks with under 100k for around 14-15k. Atleast here in AZ.

But I still say 12k is to much for 134k miles.. just my opinion. Even if KBB says it's a good deal. That's ALOT of miles...

im trying to stay under 12k so i dont have to take on another car payment... i know im going to start a sh!t storm here, but do i need 4wd? it will see some off road time for hunting/fishing and prob a once a year trip up to new england for xmas...

I bought my 04 Lariat with 190,000 km on it, I've been driving it for 35,000 Km and have had no issues and done nothing to it other than basic maintenance.

*Edit* Just realized that you Americans do it differently than us Canadians... lol. Forgot to do the conversion to Km there earlier on. And ya, i guess that is pretty high mileage. I was thinking in Km and thought that it was actually pretty good. And on a side note, i only payed 9,000 cdn $ for my 04. (at an auction sale, and everything was going cheap)

You'll get alot of people's opinion.

Personally, I will NEVER own a truck that is 2wd. Worthless to me. I use 4wd quite a bit. But I also mud and offroad.

If I ever had a 2wd truck, it would be a street/drag truck.

This is the way I look at it. The ONE time you need it, you won't have it. You will sacrifice 1mpg less than a 2wd truck, but you will have 4wd when you need it.

But, I would keep looking for a truck with less miles.. personally, alot of problems can accure at those miles.

thats what i was thinking, but i guess i'm being a beggar and a chooser... thanks for your advice... i had heard these trucks run forever and thats why i wasnt too concerned with mileage...

AZFX4 12-29-2009 12:53 AM

They do, but I would still try to stay away from high mileage vehicals. You don't know how the first owner maintained it.

Keep looking, the right truck will come. How soon do you NEED to buy a truck?
