Definitely not disagreeing with you on that! Another reason why i'm going to be getting another f150. Great truck, and it kept me safe!

Anyone with experience have any idea?
As all the other, glad you are okay.
All I can do is offer a little info on what I learned when mine got hit over the winter.
Meet with the estimator when they go over it and discuss with them what they use as diminished value. For my F150 it was 75% of market value that set the limit. Market value being set by what similar vehicles are going for in your area. Go on autotrader before you meet with them and see what they are going for. Print them out and take them with you. It can be 5 or 6 or as few as 2 to set average market value. I wanted to keep my truck so I found more expensive examples as 75% of the market value would not have bought me a new truck and there was no frame damage.
As the estimator does his job you may want to note things he may not notice like scuffs on the rims or tires requiring replacement. Just keep adding up the parts until you hit your goal. You also want to be able to give a list of aftermarket adds. You may not get it all back but your policy should have an allowance for some of it.

Unfortunately when this happens you won't make out. The best you can hope for is to have the smallest impact possible.
Good luck.
