Question Which Exhaust Setup? Quick Opinion Please!

Hey everyone,

Quick question, I have an 2004 F-150 with a current exhaust setup of a flowmaster SI/DO kit with a 50 series muffler. It's deff not my thing. On my old truck I had flowmaster 44 true duals.

Heres my options im weighing.

1) Just change out my muffler to a super 44
2) Change my muffler out to a super 10
3) Change it out to true duals with a x-pipe and dynomax bullets

The third option sounds the best I know, but the first two are ALOT cheaper. Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks

You sould just swap in a super 10. I actually preferred the sound of it over the true duals my friend switched to. When he had the super 10 on it the truck it had a more throaty sound at idle and part throttle with less drone. When he switched to the true duals it had a better WOT sound but honestly how often are you at WOT?

Yup. Check out my Goodbye Dynomax Hello Borla so you can see what a Dynomax will look like in a couple of years.

Rear cat delete, X pipe, and 2 short magnaflows if you want it loud. If you don't want any drone then some longer mufflers will help. Skip the Flowmaster's, and the dynomax.

Here's my SI/DO magnaflow with a rear cat delete for some reference...

have you looked at a rousch cat back set up, i hear they have a great sound and they are all stainless so it will also last forever. they come in a couple of different configurations depending on exits

Roush discontinued their exhausts for our trucks. They were my first choice, but sadly they stopped making their cat-back.
