Default Exhaust. Flowmaster? Borla? Magnaflow?

I am really interested in an exhaust and I'm still in HighSchool, so I needed advice, I want one that isn't too loud. You know. I have a lariat lifted. Nice truck, I don't want it to sound all loud and obnoxious. I want it to be there when I step on it. So I can hear the engine growl lol
People said not to get flow master cause it's just too loud. But the 40 series is debatable. I wanted to know if anyone I here could help me choose and let me know prices. I have a budget of about 200 dollars. For just the muffler. I know a whole system is around 600 and I would love that, but just can't afford it right now. So if you fellas could help

I'm in hs also. I have the flowmaster 44 on my 95 f150. A lot of the sound is from you removing the cats. If you keep the cats on there it shouldn't be too loud at all. Look up some YouTube videos and see what you like the best.

I bought just the muffler then took it to a shop to put it on and with 3" tips. It cost me a little more than $200 for the muffler and the shop to put it on and add the tips.

If u just use the stock 2.5 inch piping and change the muffler only, I think u will be easily under 200. You can buy the muffler online and have a local shop weld it in. Of those I would say borla or magnaflow which are both straight through design rather than chambered as the flowmaster.

Make sure you get tips though. They make it sound much better. I'm really happy with my magnaflow.

Everyone has Flowmaster and Magnaflow. I would go (I have Borla on my truck) with Borla, but you said $600 was a little out of your price range so I think Borla is out. I don't have any experience with the other two.. Good Luck!
