Yes it will free up the exhaust flow and give you more hp and tq then a h pipe will.

x or h pipe, you're not going to get any gains you can feel. With FI, focusing on the exhaust can be effective, but with NA it's really just about the exhaust note.

It's a waste of money IMO. You could put that money towards a lot of other things.

What's your reasoning for suggesting not having a crossover? Read this, a crossover is beneficial:https://www.f150forum.com/f11/exhaus...re-myth-78102/

I would assume the reason he suggested not using an x pipe is because that whole .5-.7 horse power he may gain isn't worth the cost of the x pipe..

Where's your dyno sheet for those numbers? Not saying your wrong just wondering where you pulled the numbers from. Usually more in the 2-5 hp range. Plus equalizing scavenging is really better in the long run on valves and engine.

I would be impressed if an x pipe could increase life on an already 5 year old engine.

And no, that was just a butt dyno in a fox body mustang and an older chevy truck.

It did sound better. But not worth the extra work and 50-100 bucks.
