Exclamation Engine shaking issues/ Vibration

So i have a partial thread on this but i want to see if anyone might know or heard of someone else having this problem but originally i took apart my engine the first time because i was having a knocking sound which i thought it was the engine so i took apart my engine and replaced the chain/ tensions and guides and my dad did all the adjustments for me and i put it all back together but after that when my truck was warm it still made a knocking sound and this time it felt like it was misfiring and while on the freeway it was shake while under a little pressure (example: i would cruise over 60mph and when i would press on the gas a little i would feel the engine shake and it would make the whole truck shake) so i let the truck sit for about a week and i went out to the dealer and bought both cam phasers and solenoids and took apart my engine for the second time.....After changing the phasers and solenoids all the noise and misfire is gone!!!! But my problem on the freeway is there there

anyone know what might cause my truck to shake like that on the freeway? It doesnt shake the whole truck to where i feel a death wobble or anything (for people who dont know what that is, its where your steering goes nuts and cant control it) but my problem is shaking of the engine and vibration of the truck....but when i let go of the throttle completely it goes away or if i press the gas pedal a little more and it downshifts it goes away but if i press a little to keep cruising it will shake....any ideas?

i just talked to my dad about this and he pin pointed it down to a few things, COB, Injector, Spark Plug, engine valve problem but he most likely thinks its a COB problem for mine or plug.....but i put OEM motorcraft plugs in 3k miles ago so its left to the COB's for me i guess

My truck only has 30K on it, so I would hope its not a plug, injector, or valve problem

Either way right now doesn't really matter mileage since you do have a problem don't you? Lol

Sounds like an ignition misfire, change your plugs and COPs if they have not been done.

My 2006 with 80,000 miles does exactly this. At first it was shaking on occasion. It would also backfire under hard acceleration. The engine keeps identifying cylinder #7 as the culprit. On a 5.4 the cylinders are numbered 1-4 on the passenger side moving from the radiator to the fire wall. 5-8 are driver's side. 5 is toward the radiator 8 against the fire wall. so 7 is 3rd in on the driver's side.

This is what I've done thus far.
1) new plugs changed $400
2) new number 7 injector
3) all coils tested ok. #7 coil switched with cylinder #1 both with new plug boots & springs.

The shop I took it to only had a hand held code reader & it still says #7 is the problem.

They could not do a compression test because they didn't have the correct fitting to work with this type of engine.

Their guess is 5 possible things;

Burnt valve. (doesn't answer the on/off acting up)
Weak/broken valve spring (doesn't answer the on/off acting up)
The ignition control module (The Brain) may be bad. (explains the on/off situation)
The cam sensor (CMS) (This is what caused similar issues on my powerstroke diesel) replaced it & never had another issue!
The crank sensor (CKS)

I pulled the #7 coil this evening started the truck & held a screw driver in the end & arc'd it to the steering shaft. It sparked consistently for 5 minutes & the engine ran smooth on 7 cylinders.

Currently have $500 invested in this issue & no resolution yet.

I have 2 paths to take. A friend owns a 10 bay garage & claims to have the best mechanics around & says they can fix anything. Problem is they are foreign experts. Mercedes, BMW, LEXUS, Volvo. Don't want to spend huge $$$ for them to learn on a Ford truck.

Option 2) I know another fellow who works for Roush & is a Ford specialist. He claims he can figure it out. He's busy & can't get to it for a bit.

I'll keep everyone up to date with what happens.

Just curious, what cylinder is missing for you???

I haven't been able to pull codes or anything yet. I've noticed that after a few tanks of shell gas, the shaking went down a little. Its getting worse now though. When I idle, my antennae vibrates crazy and my passenger seat goes crazy as well. Its to the point where it feels like I'm getting a back massage when I sit in the truck to warm her up
