spark plugs broke free but wont come out.
i am changing the spark plugs in my 2004 5.4. i have unscrewed the spark plugs but i can not get them out,is there something i am missing here. i exposed the plugs, i used i think a normal 9-16 deep socket. the have loosened the plugs to the point they are spinning freely, i didnt break any of them (i got the engine hot and used a penetrating agent). but now the plugs seem to be stuck in the engine. i thought maybe i wasnt truly loosing them but i was able to reverse rotation on the socket to tighten them back down, so obviously they are spinning. i went out and got long needle nose and put them down and grabbed the plugs but it seems like the plugs do NOT want to pull out NOT EVEN A BUDGE and i have a firm grip on them.
Guys i thought if i didnt break them i won the war! it seems it has just begun!

Yea, sounds like carbon build up. Maybe tighten them back up, and run some seafoam through the system through the brake vacuum hose and fuel system to help clean them. May take a couple tanks though. Maybe someone that has had this issue will chime in with a little more info.
Good luck
