Will 09+ tailgate Emblems fit 04-08 fenders or will there be an extra hole?

I had the same idea on my 08, but it doesnt work because of the two lines that run through the tailgate on 09+ trucks. The tailgate emblems from the 09+ dont sit flush.

So i would have to get some for a 09 flareside that has a smooth tailgate?

I would love to get mine painted black with the lobo part green or something close to the color of my truck

I had a friend who went to Mexico stop at the ford dealer out there for me and pick it up, all f150's in Mexico are called lobo I thought it looked cool and Unique I haven't seen anyone else have these badges yet but they were only 200$

Maybe he doesn't want the extra trim package tag on the end and doesn't want to cut the tag off. I have considered this as well.
