I also have purchased an emblem camera and was planning to use an aftermarket dash mount lcd display. However, I have been unable to view any video on my TV or on 2 different aftermarket monitors. I beginning to believe the NTSC format used is only compatible with FORD video monitors. Anyone have any luck with this?

My buddy has one installed on his 06 Ranger and hooked up to an aftermarket headunit. Works well and everything went smooth on install.

Try the search on this one. There was a person that did this mod to his 04 to 08 truck with successful results. The post was about a year ago (?). I cannot remember if it was an aftermarket head unit or not, but I'd think it would work fine, as the camera would only require power, ground, and then the "signal wire" to the screen. Should be no different with any monitor I'd think.
