I think relay number one is this one that controls the lights. I've pulled it out and plugged it back in, but I don't know if the relay is bad or not

I'm talking about the "accessories delay" relay. It's in the auxiliary box under the hood, on the driver side fender. There should be two in there. The top one is the starter, the bottom is accessories delay. Swap those two, and see if it works. Also check fuse 22 in the cab.

I agree it sounds like the door switch. Spray some wd40 into the door latch and then shut and open the door. Keep spray it and working the door and it should come back. Had that happen to the girl friends dad truck. You and do a quick search on the door switch and will find pics.

So I took fuse 22 and it shut off my accessories while the key was on. Once I put it back it turned on again. As for the relays in the hood, I was looking at the manual and they all seem to be for the 4 wheel drive and what not.

I guess they're different for different models. Mine is an 04 FX4. Look in your manual for the "accessories delay" relay. Then swap that for another relay that is the same.

Check the front doors switches. Does the dome lights come on with you open the doors?

Swapping the relays is the easiest to find a dead circuit, then just replace it with a new one. I once did for a lady removing the rear window heater relay so it would start and run fans / quit overheating so she could get home and followed her for 10 miles until her husband could meet her going home on a plus 95 degree day on the I-state.

None of the doors or just one door?
If just one door check that door switch

If none check the relay

I have this same issue, been trying to fix it for weeks. I tried spraying WD40 in the door latches but nothing. Also tried looking at all the wires in my door sill as other forums said it could be a broken violet colored wire but my wires seem fine. Please post if you find a solution.
