Converter adjustment if you adjust lock change only 3 and 4. To change the mph that the gears switch to while driving normally. If you switch from 3rd to fourth at 47mph and you want it to switch to 4th around 45 put your lock 4 at -2 lowering them can help save gas depending on your driving style. If you tow is a different story. I have mine at at 3 lock: -4 and 4 lock: -6 in performance mode. See if -2, -4 works for you in lvl 2

The result is no slippage, and virtually no power loss.
If you set the converter lock point for 4th at -6, it will lock up the converter 6 mph sooner. Giving you better mpg, but you will give up some power.
Bulldog, there is a way to find out what gear ratio you have, but it's long. I'd have to find the video on YouTube.

Alright guys my gryphon should be here today when I get off of work. It has the canned tunes for right now. I plan on just running either 87 or 89 for right now on the performance tune. My truck is a 2005 FX4 with a drop in K&N and a si/do exhaust catback. My truck has 107k miles, just had the tranny flushed and plugs changed. I'm kind of paranoid about my transmission bc the last truck I had it went out out of no where. My truck now was sort of falling on its face in between shifts a little bit and shifted sloppy some when I got on it a good bit. That's why I had the transmission flushed. Since then it's been a lot better.

What would be a good place to start on settings? How much firmness can I go with without worrying about stressing my transmission. And I'm thinking maybe 1.0+ timing? The only other thing I have no idea about is the convertor lock out stuff.. What the heck is that and what does it do?! I'd like to get rid of as much torque control as I can.. When I stomp the gas I would like to burn my 265's.. I read on here in the thread I can't remove the torque control but I can mess with the convertor lock thing and get close..

Anyone have any suggestions?

I think I figured it out. Even though my rear days 3.13 in pretty sure it's a3.73 because I cannot get the speedo to be accurate when set at 3.13. I know I can figure it out using tape on the wheel and drive shaft but I'm too lazy to do that.

Alright guys I ran level two for two weeks. I was really impressed with it. Changed it to level 3 and filled up with 93 this week. Really disappointed in it.. Seems like the tow tune had way more power...

Any of you guys have this problem? I'm thinking about going back to level two and just bumping up the timing some since I'm running 93.

Any of you guys have the same experience?

Definitely don't have the same experience. The level 3 has way more top end power then level 2. You should notice considerably better passing power.

I did kind of notice that. Maybe I just like the level two because of the bottom end power. I noticed getting up to speed I could use 20% throttle on level 2 vs 30-40% throttle on level 3.

Anyone mess with the gear ratio? I adjusted for my tire size but also saw where you can change the gear ratios?

That's only to adjust the speedometer if you changed gears. People on this forum have ratios from 3.08 to 5.13, so being able to adjust the truck for those changes is crucial.

I like level 2 more than level 3 when I had my Edge. Plus running 87 Octane on level 2 was plus.

I cannot get my speedometer to match my edge? It is always about 3 to 5mph off?
I have cooper 35x12.50x18" stt which measure 34.76" dia. or 2774mm circumference. The book says to use 2792mm for 35" tires but that seemed more off? I got the 2774mm from figuring up the actual size of the tire. I have tried changing the gear ratio from 3.73 to 3.75 to 3.80 and even down to 3.70 and cannot figure out how to get my speedometer to match up? My concern is, if it is reading fast, it is recording more actual miles than driven, correct?

Any suggestions? I have not tried the level 3, it sounds fun and may have to try it today? do I keep all my other adjustments the same for it, just switch to 93 octane fuel?
