Honestly idk how anyone knows. Idk if there was a TSB or if people have just been hooking up A:F meters. But ask anyone on this forum and they will tell you this body style in the early years comes from the factory running pretty lean.

Just got my edge evo installed on my 06 king ranch. The truck has a 6" suspension lift and 3" body lift on 35" tires. I love the edge, really wakes the truck up.

I have it set on level two towing, and not changing the shift firmness the shifts from 1-2 and 2-3 under hard accel are firm. Too firm I think. So firm that my serpentine belt squeaks. I turned the firmness down to negative number and it helped a lot. Has anybody else experienced this?

Have heard you can get a Goodyear Gator back belt and it stops the squeaking.

I'll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion

I've been playing with the shift firmness and I've just about got it to where I like it. It shifts a lot firmer them it did stock but it isn't jolting the truck like it was when it was set to zero..

But of course this is my first automatic so I might just be paranoid?

I just installed my EDGE EVO CS, I am wishing I bought the cst for the bigger screen size. I have a 2008 on 355/60/R20(36.8),K&N CAI, and Magnaflow 3" singe in single out exhaust. I am running level 2,
If I do the custom tune setting leave every thing at stock except adjusting my CAI to K&N, will it still take advantage of level 2 settings as if I had not selected custom tune. I plan on fine tuning as I get experience with the tuner.

??? I wasn't bustin *****... That was out of curiousity and looking for info that all may use for future ref. Not to mention that the computer controlled motors of today are constantly making adjustments to A/F ratios to accomodate for all kinds of things from emissions to altitude levels. Also, "lean is mean" meaning leaner = more power but the offset is extra heat because lean is hot. Too lean = too hot and lots of expensive repairs.

Oh no I think you misunderstood me. I didn't think you were bustin anyone's *****. I was giving a 100% serious answer. Idk who figured out that these body styles run lean, but that is the general consensus on this forum. For all I know they may not run lean. Mine doesn't AFAIK.

I guess my answer for your question really is that I don't have an answer heh.

Agreed, I saw it on here and figured the sky was falling. I have no idea who started the panic but I took mine to three different dealerships here in the area and they checked and told me mine was well within the parameters for safe running and that was with the CAI installed. My truck is also an early 06 build. Not saying that some don't run extremely lean, I just know now that mine didn't with the CAI installed.
