Battery acted like it was dead when I turned the key and the cd changer was going haywire. Luckily a buddy of mine had just stopped by and had his jumper cables. Hooked them up and it started right up. Has to be related to the programmer.
Are you running a canned tune from the Edge?

Yeah, I've been running it on the preprogrammed level 2. I've read in this forum and a couple of others that maybe my battery is bad. The batt. in it is probably the original, so it's about 4 yrs. old. I suppose that could be the problem, it just seems strange that the battery has performed flawlessly up until now.

Battery is good, it's the programmer. I don't know what I (we) are doing wrong. I basically warm the truck up, tuned to level 2 (canned) and went ahead kept a charger on it, when I was done and i then cranked her up. No issues, but not how I wanted to do it. I've had no issues since (2 weeks) and I went to the mountains this weekend, parked the truck for 3 days straight with avg temps of 25. Truck cranked up fine this morning when we left. Battery is a 525cc and when tested it read 511, I'll probably replace by mid summer with a little more brute.

My grandpas 08 went dead 2 different times. (truck is 100% stock) so we tuck it to batteries plus to get tested and said it was good. Then we took it to the ford dealer where they ran the battery up and down and it turned out to be bad.

I just replaced my battery. I was experiencing resets when i got in her. I had to charge it twice in 1 month. So I had it battery tested. They ran the test twice. The second time the battery failed. I replaced the battery and haven't had a problem since. You might want to test the alternator also.

good luck with it

Battery hasn't skipped a beat since Sunday. Edge shows it at 14V. Strange.

Set your edges back to stock and see if the problem persists. If it does then its something wrong with the vehicle and if it doesn't then its a problem with the tune. Been running custom tunes from php for months and truck hasn't skipped a beat.
