Question Edge 85250 on 05 XLT

I am thinking about adding this little beauty to my truck. It is a 2005 F150 XLT with a 5.4 and 4x4 with about 65k on it.
Mods include a K&N cold air intake, Flowmaster muffler with dump, 2.5" leveling kit, and 315/70/17 tires.
All oil changes are Valvoline synthetic done every few months.
The truck does have the cam phaser "ticking" noise
My dad drives it as a daily driver to and from work about 6 miles round trip. I also tow a 16ft fishing boat and a trailer with my race car on it in the summer. Other than that just normal hauling when needed.

My questions are: How do y'all like your Edge programmers? Did you notice sufficient HP and TQ gains? Was MPG any better?

Thanks guys!
Allen

I have the edge evo on my 05 5.4 and I love it. I feel the trans shift better and I did notice a hp increase. I have only ran level 2 which is the tow tune. In know the performance tune will really wake her up. Plus it's nice having a readout of avg mpg and temps.

You will like it but its only canned tunes, you can have it modified to a 'gryphon' and then get custom tunes when you want to. You will notice a nice difference but until you put in custom tunes you won't get the full potential since you have some mods done already. I am happy with my canned tunes but i think i will be going custom this summer for a little more punch
as far as mileage goes, i only find it better when hauling my boat or a pair of atvs on a trailer. Daily driving and towing is way better on l2, but not in the mileage dept. Saying that anytime you gain power and torque and not lose any mpg's thats a win win

15051 is the part number for the Edge you need...unless that's a CS or CTS part number.

You are correct. Custom tunes will only be written for the edge evo.
