Hey bates.. what would u like to know about the swap? I should be seeing the owner soon. He is a gas line worker he texts me off and on and loves the eco boost .. he has already mentioned to me about doing some power adders.. ill see if I can get some pics from him.. people said the something why not just buy a new truck but he is like many has alot done too it and loves his truck.. as for a conversion kit I have no plans of producing any kits.. not sure of the demand of such a undertaking. Plus there would have to be multiple kits due to options of the truck and to get everything to function as originally designed .. I have to say the wiring was the most complexity of the swap getting all modules in sync and reference signals are different for 04-08 and 09+ takes some time and alot of staring at diagrams but well worth it in the end.. like I stated before when the time comes that's the swap ill be doing. Had considered doing the 6.2 but there is way more tuning ability for the boost.

Default less money or more trouble

found 2010 ecoboost w/t 20000 mi. for $1700 in a taurus sho
and a 2010 ecoboost w/t 5000 mi. for $2500 in a taurus sho
for just the motors could this lighten the toll or cause hell.

I'm not aware of him doing any dyno pulls.. weight well its a 6 inch lift with 35 and a welding rig set up in the bed which adds a good sum of weight. Welder, tanks, lines spools etc.. but u can definitely tell a difference in the power department compared to the 5.4.. the exhaust was all custom bent 3.5 inch. We did have to use slim line electric fans to get radiator., inner cooler oil cooler and trans cooler all to fit properly and of course custom brackets. Pass on the sho. Cuz u need the trans as well and the mounts won't be anywhere close.. and wiring would be more of a nightmare. If u wanna go about doing u want the e.boost out of a f150. By no means is it easy but with a car e.boost I couldn't even go about telling u everything u would have to do to install or even get up and running ..

yeah cutting corners and cheaper isn't always the best thing. i will look for a whole vehicle since there are so many parts needed. sounds like his 04 ecoboost is already paying for itself. can't wait to see pics or vid.

asked about dyno because a ford mech told me that changing the stock exhaust could cause a loss of power and torque, and that ford spent more time than expected to tune exhaust.
probably just whoey.
i would expect it to change the curve if anything.
did you keep his stock from cats front or what
how did his sound the one at dealer sounded like a car, very very quite.

As far as fitting the ecoboost motor and tranny, did you have to alter the drive shafts? does a 5.4 3v tranny fit an ecoboost? Did you use an ecoboost wire harness and PCM? What did you need to alter on the harness besides length of wires or additional 02 wires??

Where do I start lol.. drive shafts we had a outside shop build them for us.. neither drive shafts will be a direct fit. The 5.4 tranny will not bolt to the eco boost. Used a highly modified eboost/5.4 wiring harness and a altered ecm. Yes 02s egts. Dual iats I could go on and on but I'm typing this on my razr if u would like more info I can when I'm at my laptop over the wk end.. the whole job took me 2 wks with a shop apprentice helping me. Took roughly 2 days to get motor trans drive shafts in. With motor and trans mounts made. A day for exhaust. 2 days for getting inner cooler, pipes, oil cooler and lines and mounting brackets and modifying the arb bumper for added air flow to inner cooler and had to lower which and reweld winch plate. The remainder was wiring and tweaking and tuning ..
